The world famous Ratha Yatra Puri in India



Orissa is called a temple state in India which is a ideal state in the entire country. It is always famous in Indian history. Purl is famous for lord Jagannath Temple , where Jagannath, Balabhadra and subhadra get worshiped at a time happily, so we called these are our lived God which helps in the every station of our living specially belongs to oriya people. I f we think about the whole world, we can able to know easily there is no place in the world where brothers and siter are being worshiped happily.

Puri is famous in the world specially in Rath Yatra time which comes in 13th July every year.
Rath Yatra

Ratha Jatra is a great Hindu’s festival associated with Lord Jagannath which held at Puri in the holy state of Orissa, India during the month of June. Whole city and society being puzzled to worship the lord Jagannath (Krishna). Ratha Yatra The festival means it is the annual visit of Lord Jagannath's to his aunt's home.

The Festival

The Rath Yatra in Puri showing the 3 chariots of the valuable deities at a glance.About the deities – Lord Jagannath (Krishna), Balabhadra and Subhadra are worshipped within the temple at Puri, but during the day of the Rath festival they (deities)are taken outside the streets so that everyone can have the chance and fortune of seeing the lord. Three highly and richly decorated valuable chariots, like temple structures, are pulled to the streets of Puri. This leads the annual journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balarama,(Balabhadra) and their loving sister Subhadra to their aunt' s temple, called the Gundicha Temple which is situated around at a distance of 2 km from their main temple. New great chariots are built for every year. During this time devotees are not allowed inside the temple premises.

During the Ratha festival, All devotees from all over the World come to Puri with a desire to pull Lords' chariot with the help of other devotee pulling the chariots through the ropes. They consider pulling this rope is a pious deed and get peace in their lives. The great processions comes with the chariots playing devotional songs with music, drums, tambourines, and trumpets.The Rath carts are arround approximately 45 feet (14 m) high and are pulled by the thousands of devotees (pilgrims)

Millions of devotees come to Puri for this great annual event Ratha Yatra from all over the world. It is telecasted live on many Indian valuable channels and International channels.

The holiness and Its Significance in Puri Ratha Yatra

It is also known as “ Gundicha Jatra” For the valuable devoted and believers, considered the most auspicious occasion in their life. Jatra is an most essential part of the Hindu system of worshiping lord Jagannath. Jatra means literally travel or journey. By Jagannath, Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra. Lord Jagannatha is Krushna. He is having supreme power, also known as Nilamadhaba.

The real body is the Chariot and the real soul is the deity are installed in the chariot. The valuable wisdom acts to control the sharp mind and valuable thoughts.
